Support Areas and Prioritization

 

Response Times

Although we would like to always be able to answer all support calls instantly, some days this is just not possible. In general, reception will be able to provide approximate time estimates on call backs when you call in. Normally, if you do not get right though to a support person, you can expect a call back within about 15 minutes. On busier days, this can stretch out to two hours but rarely more.

 

Priority Levels

We recognize that different types of support issues can affect your brokerage and users more critically than others. While we strive to minimize response times, when we can't service everyone all at once, we use the following chart as our guide for prioritizing calls:

No Backup

This can be the most serious type of problem. If users load data into your system without backup capability, then a serious server malfunction can result in the loss of important information.

Server Down

When you main CIM-Data Server is down, No one can function, process, or answer client questions.

WorkStation Down

When one of your Work-Stations is down, that person can not function, process, or answer client questions.

Printers

Printer Set-up

Support only PCL5 or 6 standard laser printers, any type of Epson. If a printer is not functioning or cannot get reports to print. Very important on an every day basis to have a well functioning printer.

Batch Jobs

Reports Problem

Midnight Run 

If a job has failed you cannot run another job until the failed job is deleted. The same applies to Midnight Run. If the date is not changed over, then your reports will not generate etc. ppdv01, arlv01, penv01. Any thing on how to run a report, what parameters to use and overall how to execute reports.

EDI

CCR

CSIONet

If your CSIO server or bell is down, you cannot send or receive your mail. It could be that your modem or Vpn connection is not set up with the correct parameters.

Policy Information Systems

You have various coverage's for life, auto, home, Commercial policies. How to edit, modify or add coverage’s to any of the policy screens.

Rating

Without this you wont be able to rate a car, if rating engine is not kept up to date ,then the rates will not be accurate.

Home Evaluator

This is the rating engine used to rate the cost of a home. Primarily used for habitational.Rating engine is updated twice a year.

Text Editor

Mail Merge 

This where your letters can be done from. Templates are stored in the user directories, templates can be used as a body of a general letter. Also very useful when sending out mass mailing to all clients.

Accounting

It is very important to have all your accounts in balance. Makes it easier to reconcile at month end or when running the year end.Intchk or Fix bal can be run to fix accounts that are not in balance.

Query

On the system if there is information needed that cannot be produced from the report generation screen, then Query is an advanced report producing software. Has the Capability to retrieve anything from the database when using the right parameters to generate reports.

Management System

This is used to manage security options for everyday users as well as reports, make client accounts, print account labels, generate liability slips etc. For everyday use.

Problem Escalation

CIM-Data Support staff can answer many calls immediately. Some of or "weird" ones may require research or consultation with other CIM-Data staff including programmers, or Microsoft, CSIO, company support staff, etc.


As a "full-service" company, CIM-Data is capable of ultimately resolving any issue involved in running the CIM-Data System, including, hardware, operating systems, networking, printing and forms issues, EDI, accounting, etc...
