The CIM-Data Accounting subsystems were built on solid accounting and auditing principles. We have the most complete suite of accounting transactions available, including Ontario Tax software that calculates tax remittable based on payments received, a complete Sub Broker subsystem, fully imbedded post-dated cheque support, and numerous billing, posting, and collection options that save time. With proper use of our system, your tax accountants, auditors, or even RIBO will spend less time than with any other system.

CIM-Data is the only vendor that CSIO recognizes as having a fully compliant, error-free system. Our Policy Management System has complete and up to date support of current personal lines CSIO standards. We have lower error rates than the other vendors and a lower maintenance and more flexible policy database than our competition. CIM-Data was the first vendor to join CSIO. We have participated in study groups right from the beginning and currently sit on the Commercial Standards Workgroup.

Maximum Integrity
We recognize that today’s professional insurance brokerage relies more heavily on their computer stored data than ever before. Policy information, accounting, word processing, and policy data must be available immediately and reliably. Ordinary database systems just will not do. CIM-Data’s database technology provides high integrity with multiple automatic daily data copies or backups. The database itself has internal CRC checking at the record level to detect hardware malfunctions on the server. A Client-Server architecture further protects data and maximizes performance. We can also set up your servers with advanced hardware redundancy such as disk mirroring.

Full Security Model
A System Administrator can set up the CIM-Data system with no security restrictions whatsoever or with a full security model. You can use NT to control who has access to the database and you can set up user passwords to grant access to only certain accounts, certain types of data, or certain types of functions.

Maximum Branch Office Performance
If you operate a branch office over communications lines, you have to see the CIM-Data system operate in a branch office setting. Our thin-client implementation gives multiple users multiple channels in a branch office using inexpensive modems on regular business phone lines. Of course, if you have dedicated lines, routers can provide even better performance.
